SDHDA Announces Fund Availability for 2005 Emergency Shelter Grant Program

The South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) announces the availability of nearly $325,000 under the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) Program for fiscal year 2005.

The ESG Program is specifically intended to assist, improve, or expand existing emergency housing shelters servicing homeless individuals and families. Funding awards may be used for specific activities in support of homeless shelters including; renovation/major rehabilitation/conversion; maintenance and operating costs; provision of related essential social services; and homeless prevention activities.

The 2005 SDHDA ESG Program Administrative Plan and the application may be obtained by accessing them on the SDHDA homepage at www.sdhda.org, by requesting a copy via e-mail to lisab@sdhda.org, by calling (605) 773-3181, or writing to SDHDA at P.O. Box 1237 , Pierre , SD 57501-1237 . Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on February 3, 2005 .
